Almond Blossom

This time last year Barry, Maisie and I had just got back from a very special holiday in Cyprus. You can see another of the photos in the image of the week>>>
This shot was taken on a cold but sunny day on one of our drive arounds that we did. I turned this into a water colour in Photoshop and have used it many times for greeting cards. I glue some tiny diamantes around the middle of the main flower so it twinkles. I must print out some more, the time of year feels right don't you think?
I did do a little search for an album that we must have made about Cyprus but I can't find one anywhere, if Barry can direct me I'll add a link for you to view.
When I was looking for the album I came across this link (clicky) of an Album I put together in 2002, when I was so keen to learn how to make a website. Maisie was just 7 years old in the photos. I love the video of my Mum on there....hope you enjoy watching it.
Barry and I went to stay with Ali from Sunday until yesterday. As usual we had a wonderful time, I do miss seeing Ali, we get on so well together. I put some highlights in her hair and there was some mixture left over so Ali put some in mine! It looks really good, I am impressed! I also gave Jez and Barry a haircut whilst the highlights were 'taking' so we all had a hairdo!!
I finished the pink socks as Barry drove us to and from Devon, in between snoozes! I am now in the process of making EZ's Surprise Baby Jacket and it looks a complete conundrum but I just have to keep knitting in the hope that it turns into something when I have finished! Oh boy, the yarn shop in Bideford, Devon is closing down so Ali and I went back there twice to snap up some half price bargains, I got quite a bit of Rowan yarn to keep me quiet for a while but if I had got the money I would have bought loads more!
Hope you've all managed to read this to the end, I've gone on a bit haven't I?
