Hello from Teddy and Me

Just popping in to say hello. I finally finished this little teddy for Imogen. I started it before we went to Italy and finished her last night. I think she is so cute. I should take a back view too, her dress is really a little pinny.

I am having a lovely time with Andrea here, thank goodness the weather is behaving, although having said that it is soo dark right now.

I am so glad that yesterday is over!

It started with a phone call from a special friend who wasn't feeling well...she lives so far away, Northern Spain in fact. She needed a shoulder and some advice, I hope I managed both but Iwas really feeling so anxious myself. You see, I had an appointment with a consultant at 12.30 and that all went well. I am to have an MRI scan of my shoulder and then probably keyhole surgery on it...then at 2pm I had an appointment with the dentist to have a back tooth removed, I was surprisingly calm for me, although I had been a bit vague all day.

(If you are squeamish or have to visit the dentist don't read this next bit)
This tooth had been giving me trouble ever since it was filled a few months back. I had had a tooth removed a few moons ago and it was an easy thing, a bit of a tug and out it popped. Not this baby!! I was really scared, after two injections my gum was numb and she started her job. Oh my...never again will I have a tooth removed whilst awake! Apparently it had curved roots and it just would not budge. I started to panic and held up my hands as I really felt faint and she stopped and encouraged me. So it continued but still it wouldn't budge so she got the nurse to hold my head so she could get a better leverage. That really freaked me out!! Still the blasted tooth wouldn't budge so she drilled it into bits and removed it slowly. The noise inside my head of the tooth breaking was horrendous and it felt like my brain was going to explode. I was in one hell of a state by the time she had finished. I think I was in shock. As the injections wore off the pain began and I've taken so many pain killers since then. I've got some anti biotics to take just in case there was any lingering infection, I still can't believe I went through all that. I do remember saying to the dentist that I'd prefer to have had a baby and I've done that four times!!

Anyway, I'm sort of OK now, I've just taken a migraine tablet which was almost inevitable really.

It's OK to read on now....I'm a bit sorry for Andrea having to go through all this with me but I'm so glad she is here. Andrea gives great advice and our happy chattings have helped immensely.

We went for a walk around the village and up through the fields this afternoon, all the little houses look so pretty spruced up for summer. We wanted to live in loads of them, in fact one of them we kept walking backwards and forwards so we could look in the window over again, it was stunning!

We're off to Cromer tomorrow, for some fish and chips and sea air, Barry is our chauffeur. I can't wait!

Oh dear, at least its over yet, I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out one at a time under local. I had one last one which was so high in my gum, and they all kept telling me it would pop out easy, I wasn't taking any chances, Keith paid for me to have it done whilst asleep last year. Gorgeous little bear, glad you're having a lovely week.

Oh you poor thing, hope the pain subsides soon. Teeth are great when they're in good health but a complete nightmare if anything goes wrong. Luckily as an adult my teeth haven't given me too many problems but they were terrible when I was a child and in fact every one of my back teeth has large fillings in. My Mum used to be so fed up every time we went to the dentists and I needed yet another filling....
Have a lovely day in Cromer, what a pretty part of the world.

What a great ted - I'm sure he'll be much-loved for years!

I vaguely recall a bar called the Carioca on the front in Cromer - you'll have to let me know if it's still there...

The dentist - not so sweet. I'm sorry you had to go through that; hopefully you're feeling better now.
