Kentwell 1584

Yesterday Barry and I went to a Ktogs meeting, Tudor style! I was able to chat away with these lovely ladies from yesteryear. It was simply brilliant, the way they discussed what they were doing. Fascinating and entertaining too!

Here's some information about Kentwell, I think we'll be going to this magical place a few more times...I think I'd totally enjoy the Glen Miller evening!

I sent my Mum an email recently and attached the photo of me in the green dress...here's her reply:-

Hello My Marie,

Looking at your letter again I discovered the photos . That darling one of you pulled at my heart strings. Reminded me so much of the one Bob took of you in 1960 when you were 4 and I'd only had Matt a few months . The others I presume are of your memories of Italy xxx Lovely pictures . Love you

Bye Mum xxx

so Mum sent me the photo she was talking about and I have put them together...not changed much have I? Really made me smile and also made me rather sad too for some reason.....I can actually remember the four year old me being photographed!

... as I was saying,
Lovely smile, you haven't changed a bit!

Kentwell is now on my 'to visit' list, and I thought you were going for a battle re-enactment rofl.

And I love Glen Miller,I didn't notice is it an open air affair?

I can see just what your Mum means!

I love Kentwell, went there a couple of years ago with my sister and nieces. I'd love to volunteer one year (provided I could knit or dye). Glenn Miller sounds promising, too

Not changed much at all! What a cutie you are -- and doesn't it seem like just yesterday that you took that little 4 year old picture? ;-)

Kentwell looks very interesting - those Great Wheels look difficult to work with...

Thanks very much for visiting my blog with the kind words and shawl suggestion - I shall add it to my 'shortlist' and do a bit of swatching.

So much stuff to make, so little time...
