Two Pairs of Trousers

Remember I told you I was making some trousers for Laurie? Well, he proudly let me photograph him in them....he has worn them since the moment i finished them so I guess he likes them. I used this patter clicky which was very straight forward to follow even the fly which is quite a complicated procedure usually. The results turned out looking professional, thanks to all the top stitching which took an age, well not exactly and age but they took a lot longer to finish than I anticipated.
Here is a close up of the other pair I made him. The fabric is a bit more floppy like a drapey linen. What Laurie likes about them is the fact that they are long enough for him and they fit him where they should. Usually Laurie has to buy his trousers way too big on the waist so he gets the length in the leg....
I am now on the look out for some sandy coloured fabric for another pair for him at his request but for now I need to make something feminine, not sure what though......

My handsome boy!!
(for some reason this shot isn't too sharp but I love his funny facial expression)

Meet Natalya

On Saturday morning we met up with a blogland friend Natalya . I've been visiting Tal's blog for a while now, despite having a very tough time the last couple of years or so, Tal manages to remain in good spirits. We just chatted from the moment we met at Cambridge Railway Station to the moment Tal's Mum came to pick her up, after lunch, at the Hotel where Barry and I were photographing a wedding. I hope you don't mind the photo Tal, it's a bit of a payback for you posting that very unflattering one of me on your blog! Thanks sweetie! Other than the subject of that photo (not the one of Tal on here but the one of me on her blog!), Natalya's is a wonderful photographer! I guess all my readers are going to go there now to have a look.....ok here's the link again to make it easy for you!

I like the pic of you!! And nice to meet Tal...I will have to visit her blog more often.

Laurie is very handsome. And the pants are great! Used to make my own pants way back when. I am impressed with yours as they are very professional looking. Fantastic.

Those trousers look great! I have met up with a fellow blogger and it's lovely isn't it - though a bit like going on a blind date!
