....a baby that will only be quiet when her Mummy is holding her.....or......a young lady called Maisie!
This little monkey won't even be calm for her Daddy! Her Mummy was worn out and we'd all had a go of her, then Maisie had a go... She walked around with her and bounced up and down a bit like a comedy policemen and a wonderful quiet surrounded the room...we heard little baby snuggley noises and then Imogen was asleep!! Maisie sat on a comfy chair with her and Imogen slept for the best part of an hour. Maisie was in her element and even refused her tea so she could carry on holding this snuggle bunny...special moments indeed xx
Tyler appeared to be unimpressed with his blanket but it was a bit intimidating opening up a parcel in front of a roomful of onlookers....he asked me where the rest of the presents were! I guess he remembered the bag of gifts I produced for Imogen when she was born. I think I will have to be on the look out for some bits and bobs for this little man ready for the next time we visit them.
Barry took this lovely photo of him a while later...he went upstairs to watch his favorite DVD's and it seems he did like his blanket after all. When we were leaving, Tyler tugged at my trousers and said ......'Marianne, I don't like my blanket'...... 'Oh well,' I said, 'never mind, Daddy can have it'. He was told that it was a bit rude to say things like that and I have to say I felt a bit of a lump in my throat. His Mum wished the earth would open up! Tyler hadn't finished telling me though, ......' I don't like my white blanket'....he said quietly to me so I just blew a raspberry on his chest! His white blanket is his old special snuggly blanket from when he was a baby...now that's a bit of a result eh?

How sweet, Maisie must have a special touch. I love the pic of Tyler, I'm sure he'll come to appreciate his blanket....
They're so funny fickle children, Neo changes his mind minute by minute.
There you go again, taking a pic that tugs at my heart. So beautiful. And the pic and story of Tyler are sweet...I bet that new blanket goes to college with him!
Maisie is clearly a young lady of many talents! And Tyler looks right at home with that blanket. Thanks for such happy pictures and stories.
How impressive that Maisie would sit and hold the baby for so long! Lovely pictures and neat stories. It's always a bit of a wonder when giving a homemade gift, isn't it?
Aaaaawww, I knew he'd love his blanket when I saw the photos Barry took in your previous post. Well done.
Two heart-breakingly sweet photos!
Oh bless! I had a lump in my throat too!!!!!

Children always land you in it don't they and make you feel inept! Lovely pictures, lovely stories!
Maisie has always had a special touch with babies :)
Lovely story about Tyler and the blanket, you can trust a child to say exactly what they mean!
Kids can really open up your heart can’t they? I love them being so honoust.
The shot of Tyler and that blanket is too cute! What a look - the same one, in fact, that my nephew gives when he opens what he calls "socks and underwear" gifts. Tyler will appreciate it one day, I'm sure.
actually...Tyler slept that night with his blanket all cuddled up in his bed....he was watching his DVD in the photo, he is happy with his blanket. I'll keep you posted!
