Nicolette's words, and why she chose her blog friends to receive their awards:
'I hope indeed I make a lot of you smile. I love humour. To hand over the award is always the less pleasant part, because I have to pass over so many of you. The 7 bloggers I choose make me smile or laugh out loud, by their words, their everlasting optimism, their fabric stashes photos or being an inspiration. I don’t know if you already received the award but I don’t have time to check it'
The rules:A. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.B. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed.C. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Not sure I'll do the last bit.....
1 I really truly hate getting older...I am having problems with adjusting. I know I look older, but when did that happen?
2 I love being feminine, I love to wear my make-up and do my hair, I love to dress well.
3 I really don't like to wear a bra! Horrid uncomfortable things....
( . )( . )
4 I feel really lucky to have met and fallen in love with a man that loves me back.
5 My craft activities seem to go in phases, right now I am in a knitting phase but I can feel a sewing phase coming on, Necessity really, I have to make a bride's dress and three bridesmaid's dresses. I may even be making Dicky bows and cummerbunds!
6 I am a worry guts...I worry about everything, always have done, right from tiny. Cried my way through infant and junior school (much to my older sister's embarrassment) and then just panicked my way through secondary school. Being creative has helped with this side of me. I feel calm and content when I have made something that pleases me, most of which I give away!
do you know how hard it is to find these things to write about???
.....and that reminds me, I also won a prize on Nicolette's blog. A prize for a friend of mine. She has survived breast cancer and is doing so well now and will be so surprised to get this gift. I'll not tell her until the gift is made, I am so excited about this. Thank you Nicolette, you are a most kind and generous person. To understand what I am talking about you must go and visit her blog right now! Don't forget to come back here and leave a comment though! ;^) You all definitely make me smile!

I recognize facts 1, 2, 4 and 6! They count for me as well. Thank you for being so NICE about me. There have been stuck a lot of feathers in my cap today!
Boy, I'm right there with you on #1!!! Getting older sucks -- but I guess it's better than the alternative. And (.)(.) cracked me Up!!!
I can so identify with what you say!!
A well deserved award! Congrats!
Well, you deserve the wonderful things that are happening to you. Quit worrying, it causes wrinkles :)
And #5 is me. I switch with the wind. Feel a quilting mood trying to overtake the knitting :) but don't tell Ray!
I actually like my age. I am the way I was made to be, a clone of my precious mother so that is the way it is. The 50s are good.
Remember, life is what we make it!
Now I've not known you very long and haven't really seen you much, but I must say that every time I see you, you look younger. Your hair is gorgeous and your smiley face radiates happiness.
Sod the getting older bit, don't worry about it. Save your worries for something really important - like have you got enough film in your camera. What's that? You don't have film in your camera? Well there's nothing to worry about then is there?
Wonderful! Have to say that I consider you one of the most gentle souls I know...and your humor is quiet and gentle, too. It is why I am so glad when you post a new one!!
xoxoxoxoxo!!!!
Congratulations - you certainly deserve this award! And I so enjoyed to read through your facts/habits - oh, we sure do have a lot in common indeed! I recognize myself in #1, 2, 3!!!, 4 and 6. Okay, and a little of #5 too, so we sure have a lot in common ;)
