I phoned the florist, recommended to us by one of our clients that we photographed at their wedding. He sounded well in control and we are meeting him at the Hotel where we are to be married on the 19th. He told me to make a scrap book of wedding related things that pleased me and bring it along...I'm not doing a college course am I? I suppose I could stick in it some fabric samples and stuff...I'll see what I've got in my wedding magazine, perhaps I should buy another one...or two?
I chose the fabric to make my dress and the three bridesmaids dresses and ordered it...I have to be in to sign for it on Wednesday...I am so excited about this but also I am jittery about the work involved. I am staying with Ali at the beginning of February and I intend to make the two little bridesmaid dresses whilst I am there, it makes sense as I can fit them as I go. I will cut out the pieces before I go to Devon...I'm not daft!
I also phoned the DJ about the disco for the evening and he is sending me a contract.
I phoned the Hotel but the girl that was the wedding organiser has left since I was last in contact and the girl on reception was rather vague to say the least and suggested I speak to the chef tomorrow....I wonder if I'll get some more positive feelings after speaking to him tomorrow. This Hotel is rather similar to Faulty Towers, scary eh?
Yesterday, Barry took me out for a drive as the sun was shining...we went to Rutland water, the collage above is a selection of the photos I took whilst we were there. If you'd like to see them in greater detail you could always click here

LOVE the socks!
wow... you're BUSY!
You sound very organised. Love the photos and the socks!
Sounds like you're well on your way with wedding plans. Love your, as always, gorgeous pictures! Also loved Ali's story -- you sound like the perfect Mum!
How exciting to be planning your wedding! Love the pictures.
I love your Karenina socks!! Now you need to make some mini ones with the leftovers :)
Did you happen to see the episode on Martha Stewart last year about wedding/notebook/scrapbook? That is exactly what you need...I bet her website might have more info.
Good luck :)
I'm a notebook junkie! Have you seen the notebooks at Photobox that you can personalise with your own pictures? They aren't cheap but I think they might have a two for one offer on at the moment....

I'm amazed you found the time to finish the socks with everything you have on your plate right now! They look gorgeous and I need to look up the techniques that you used to improve mine. I feel like an aunty to those socks...
You can never have too many copies of Cosmo Bride!
Your socks are so lovely, I wish that I had joined the Soctopus club for them! I like notebooks with pockets and stuff to put bits in but the Moleskins are a bit boring. I haven't seen any similar but prettier.
I wish you the best in all of your preparations for the wedding! I just know that it is going to be one grand affair.
There is NOTHING I find more exciting than wedding talk! My only advice to to take a deep breath and know that something will go wrong, but it won't matter.
