A Celebration in Pink THIS IS NOW OFFICIALLY CLOSED!

Isn't this the most deliciously soft looking thing?I really had trouble casting this on, I tried and I tried but I didn't give up! I was so excited to actually find the pattern but the TV video link showing us how to cast on wasn't there. I can follow the instructions, I don't need to see the video....but I couldn't do it!! Almost but not quite, Ggrrrrrr!
I had been spying this on Ravelry and the thought of knitting it really kept needling away at me....I didn't give up, I googled for cast on help and found this wonderful blog post to help me along. I love those EUREKA moments, you know, the moment you realise you have actually understood and achieved the impossible!
This is made from some deliciously soft, so soft it is like fluffety puff, kid mohair and merino
It's the Moebius Cowl by Cat Bordhi
It is a gift to you, well one of you! A gift to say thank you for listening to me rabbit on about the wedding of the year :^)

I want to celebrate the fact that Barry and I are married, it hasn't really sunk in yet, but I do know we are still floating about like a couple of aged lovebirds! haha!!

All you have to do is pop in and say hello, I will put all the names in a hat and get someone to draw out a winner. You have exactly one week to leave a comment on this post.
I am looking forward to hearing from you xx

Gosh Marianne,
I get to be first! Yeah! now to win...

I love the moebius. I have the book and haven't tried it yet. Went to a friends one evening and there were 3 of us, me watching mostly and talking, one couldn't grasp it but Isobel did. She's from England, must be the English thing. :)

I'm so glad you are floating on a happy cloud. When are we going to see the wedding photos. And more honeymoon photos. I know you both took lots of pictures or were you too busy smooching on each other? :)

have a great day, my freind.

Robin

This Moebius cowl is so sweet! So very feminin, and it looks so soft. I think it's the first moebius I like. It makes me happy to read, how happy you and Barry are. Floating love birds, eh?! :o)

Hellooooo Sweet Marianne! I've had such fun catching up with you -- loved seeing the poppies, and reading about the re-enactment -- such lovely pictures! The Living Will cracked me up -- I'm thinking that needs to be passed on to a few people I know LOL. The Moebius is just beautiful -- fully enhanced by your fabulous photography! Thanks for your wonderful wedding wishes -- you know the feeling so well, and you're right, I'll be riding a high for weeks to come. Now do tell....give me the tale or two about you wonderful day!

That is so pretty! Thank you but please don't put me in for the draw as I don't really wear pink even though it is lovely.

Lovely candyfloss pink. Moebius are like socks fine after the first 2 rounds don't you think?

Congratulations to you both, your story gives hope to the rest of us.

Love the mobius and also the idea that you and I keep bumping into so many 'likes'. I signed up to take Cat Bordhi's 'Magic of Mobius' class at Knitter's Connection next month and I've been wanting to do something with a mobius for awhile. I've bought her book (required) but haven't decided which pattern I will use in class to make my project; we get to choose and buy our materials before the class. That pink looks mighty pretty.

Thanks for visiting my blog, husband was thrilled when I told him you'd like to be in our garden with your camerea. We'd love that too, and Barry.

How lovely and sooo soft looking (I believe you!) the colour is so fresh, what a lovely pink! I'm always impressed with your talents, always.

I've enjoyed reading about your wedding, the months up to, the day, the honeymoon and now... I just love it.

Well if I don't win this, I'll just have to make do with the camelspin shawl I suppose!

That is just gorgeous! I'm a pink girl and I love mohair, the perfect combination!
I'm so glad my video helped you out. I love knitting moebi (how do you spell moebius plural?). The whole reason I made it was because I did a search myself and came up with nothing.
Good work!

Oh that is SO beautiful!

I'm glad that I'm your winner; otherwise I'd feel so badly about having to Frog the one I'd attempted : )

ps: Really nice to hear that you and Barry are still all pie-eyed and weak-knees!

that is a beautiful mobius - it reminds me of a lace collar, but more frothy!

I thought your wedding dress was lovely, not just impressed by the technical skill but also the strength of nerves to take on such an important project!

congratulations

Saw your comment on the Stash Basket. Had to look to see what you are giving away. WOW that looks delicious - if knitting can look. How can you bear to give it away? What a prize. I have followed your preparations on and off and so glad you are so happy. I wish you all the best.

Hullo lovebirds! Have you got Barry knitting yet?
Reading about the wedding of the year has been fun... Look at all the fans you have!
Lovely pattern - and so soft. but don't add my name to the hat - I really don't appreciate pink like I ought.

It looks like cotton candy. I'm not a frilly/lacy girl so I am out of the running but I had to appreciate it out loud for what it is... magnificent and floaty and feminine.

And I wanted to at least say hi while you are asking for hellos.
