Where do I start?

It is so difficult to know where to start telling you about our magical day! It went so quickly but it was definitely a day of joy, love, happiness and laughter! So many friends and family attended, many of whom travelled miles to be there.

Oh boy that moment when I was waiting outside the ceremony room with my Brother Matt, Maisie, Millie, Maddie and Tyler, I'm afraid I wasn't too aware of anyone else there, just me living my fairytale.....the music started, it was that drum roll at the beginning of Gabriel's Oboe played by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, my whole body reacted to the drum roll, this was it, I was going to marry my Barry. Walking towards him was the most scary and exhilarating moment. It felt like I was in slow motion but going too fast, all the glimpses of faces I recognised, smiles here and there......and then there he was, looking so handsome and worried and so full of love for me, I will never forget that moment.

Just before we signed the register, Mum gave us such a lovely reading, from “With Great Pleasure” by Alec Reid. It was read with a country accent and she was given a well deserved applause afterwards. The registrar said she was taking a copy of that reading with her as it was the best reading she had ever heard at a wedding! You can read it for yourselves by clicking here
Thank you Mum, you helped to make the day so special!

I don't have the actual wedding shots yet so you will have to be patient a bit longer and make do with this lovely shot taken by my Mum. That is Steve, my new stepson looking into the shot, I couldn't stop smiling!!! I'll tell you more about the actual wedding when I get more photos to show you, it will be a surprise for me too you know, I can't remember any of it in the right order, it is all like snapshots of events, all muddled up in my head at the moment.

The day after the wedding, we went to Wimpole Hall which holds a bit of magic for us because there is a tower there that played a starring role in the early days of our relationship, it was from there that I received texts from Barry and MiLady and Prancy were born....you can see us on our wedding cake made by the very talented Michaela here clicky

It was such a shame to cut it but glad we did cause the cake tasted every bit as good as it looked!

Here is Ali, snuggling up that yummy little Sullivan, I love his hat that she made for him!

and me giving Millie a special Grandma warm-you-up cuddle!
and as a passing man offered to take a group shot for us, I handed him the camera and took a run at the tree stump to be with everyone else, I love this shot, the happiness just kept on coming!!

then the next day, we took Mum to Gatwick to catch her flight back to Belfast. We had a few hours to kill before we needed to check into our Hotel so Barry drove around a bit and we noticed the signs for the Bluebell Railway. We adore steam trains and couldn't believe our luck in stumbling across it. We purchased a First Class ticket and enjoyed a picturesque ride through the countryside, well ok, Barry enjoyed the picturesque ride while I nodded off! (flattering image eh? thanks Baz!) The sound of the train on the track was so soothing....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

Here is our Hotel room, it is the second room as the first room had coffee spilt on the bedspread and made the whole bed smell yukky so they moved us, luckily for us, the only room available was the Honeymoon Suite, how appropriate, the jaccuzzi was nice! We left our car at this hotel for the duration of honeymoon, it was cheaper to have a room here than pay for car parking at the airport.
and then, the next morning we arrived in Venice!...this is my very first photo..more to follow, can you bear it?

If you still would like to see more photos and info pop over to Barry's Blog to read his side of things.....

Lovely, fabulous, I love the cake, and the little glimpses we keep getting, perfect really, because too much at once and we wouldn't get the chance to take our time and savour them! Haven't seen Barry's blog before, just going over their for leisurely stroll around!

The Bluebell Railway?! Was your train pulled by Stepny? (think that's the name of the character in Thomas the Tank Engine)

Congrats again!

ps: I so, so, so LOVE your dress!!!
