If Only You Could Smell Them!

We went to Wimpole Hall again today. Rosie came with us. Look at the gorgeous vase she felted for a belated wedding present for us! I love it, and the frilly edge flutes so prettily. The roses are from Rosie's garden, Damask Roses I think, and wow, they smell divine! The most scented smelling roses I have ever smelt...just beautiful, thank you Rosie :^)
The Calla Lily Bag felted up a treat, definitely a pattern to be made again sometime.
A Wimpole piglet makes a bid for freedom..
look she's almost out...oooher! What to do??
She get's her sister to escape with her, so they go for a little walk and then squeeze their way back in through the gate again...good piggies! Just 10 days old, amazing!

some other pretty things I saw today...

two little boys playing with their steam train....

love the gooseberries...I love to eat them in a pie too!
Sheep shearing, with shears...this chap gave us an interesting talk about how the fleeces used to be sheared over a hundred years ago and then he did a speedy job with some electric clippers! A fleece is only worth about 50pence to the farmer and very often it costs more getting someone in to shear them, life can be cruel. Rosie told me that the people that have up to six sheep get more as they sell to crafters or something, sure she'll put us straight on that one??

I took some photos of ladies spinning too but I deleted them in the upload process doh!!
These piglets are just one day old....
Would you marry this man?
I would!! xxx
Barry was trying on his old cycling gear to wear at a team meeting. It doesn't fit quite as well as it did a few years ago does it Baz?
I must admit though, after hearing him tell me about his dream this morning I do wonder......
Maisie and Imogen a couple of weeks ago
me snoozing with Imogen ~ sneaky photo by Barry!
and to finish a cheeky smile from Imogen!

Hope there's not too many photos for you today, I just wanted to share them all!

Thank you for such a great day out! I'm still chuckling about those little tamworth piglets racing around. I'm not 100% certain of the wool marketing figures but I know it is only a very small number of sheep that you can keep before you have to sell via the wool marketing board.

As for the call lily bag, just one word: WOW!
