How rude!

Who's this showing us her new knickers?
she's also got a pretty dress with a shiny button on the back
Its a teeny weeny tiny Ted made using this pattern

It came up in my bloglines this morning on one of the craft blogs to which I subscribe. I promptly cast on and knitted this little tiny bit of fun before I got into the shower! I used DK Alpaca for the body and dress and size 3.5 mm needles although I think I may go down to size 3mm next time.

She is perfect for my other Granddaughter, I was wondering what I could make her. When you are four, you notice things like big sisters getting slippers and need something to make you feel better even though you had some slippers back at Christmas. I am sure this fluffy little Teddy will do the trick, however, I think that maybe Millie will want a tiny teddy too.....clickety click!!
This is a Gelato Bag from Fibretrends, I enjoyed using this pattern, it seems that all fibretrends patterns are very well written.
The yarn I used is some Hand Spun wool/mohair and some Cleopatra yarn from Hipknits. The hand spun yarn has the most beautiful colours spun into it and they show up more now the bag is felted. My lovely friend Robin sent me the yarn in a swap package, lucky me!
I have decided to felt my knitting on a lower temperature as the hot wash just seems to add creases. It seems to felt just as well without the heat....
Love the way the colours pop out now it is felted....I intend to line this bag, add an interior zipped pocket and a magnetic popper closure with maybe a big button on the flap. I think this is my favourite felt bag to date, it feels really nice, silky, soft yet firm, just like me, except it's hairy........! hah!!
Oh and just to show you quite how tiny the teddy is, I have put a sewing machine bobbin on her dress for comparison....

You're so funny! You need to censor that first picture LOL. Wow -- I love the pic with the bobbin -- that really puts tiny teddy into perspective -- I didn't think she was that small. Love your new bag too!!!

Marianne,

the yarn knitted up really nice and looks great felted. My friend Patsy spun it. I'll have to tell you to look at your creation.

Cute little bear! You are just perfect!

The teddy is so sweet? You will have to teach her that it's rude to show your knickers!
I was looking at the "All Stitched Up" bag swap and thought I'd click on the name below mine on the list and it was you. We don't live all that far apart. Have fun with the swap.
Maria.
