Naughty but Nice...

Apple Cake with Toffee Topping ~ recipe link

From my latest cookery book Falling Cloudberries

I have made two recipes from this book already and both were delicious. What a bargain this was, just £4...hope they get some more in soon, my Mum is after a copy.
I have at last made another pair of slippers, they fit me so well!!
Ok so they are not for me, they are for Emilia

My eldest Granddaughter. I hope they fit! Millie has long slim feet, just like her Mummy...they certainly look long and thin these felted clogs
and with the bits I had left over I made these crochet cuties....
They were a joy to make, these Fibre Trends patterns are so well written.
I just need some ribbon to thread through the top...not sure who these are for though, another itiem in my 'just in case' box!
Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post. Unfortunately, Lady Eleanor grew rather a lot after her bath so I am going to unpick a fair bit of her. That yarn is too precious to be wasted, I wonder what it will turn into?

I have finished my Rivendells and the 'Two at Once' socks, in fact I am in quite a 'finish it' mode, long may it last!

Oh and after nearly two weeks of feeling ill I think I am on the mend. I managed to get conjunctivitis and a cold sore and a migraine at the last hurdle but they are all healing now. I look gorgeous you know, I told my Mum, it's a good job I married Barry before I got all these ailments, I don't look a pretty sight at all right now!

Good Morning :)

Glad you are on the mend, Barry would have married you no matter what!

That book sounds like one my new oven will need to be christened with...

Your Lady E is gorgeous, and you are right to unpick to rescue unneeded yarn, when it's too big now. Your cake looks delicious, mouth watering really. The felted slippers are cute, especially the Baby ones.
Sometimes everything bad happens at once, but I'm glad you are on the mend now, getting better every day! :o)

Both pairs of clogs are lovely - they're another thing I want to get to grips with before the winter - so much knitting ,so little time....

Glad you're on the mend!

send me a slice of that cake, looks yummy!

I hope you get on the mend. I too have been having a lot of headaches recently. Just crappy and ruin the day.

Love the clogs, are they hard to knit? remember I'm a beginner?

Yun -- lots of eye candy! You're so funny -- I was reading along thinking ...this is interesting, she's made slippers that look like those fiber trends clogs but she's not felting them? Hahaha! Those little ones are so cute too. So happy you're on the mend -- just wear sunglasses and heavy makeup when Barry is near -- you must keep up the wedding mystique you know LOL!

I am ignoring that cake recipe (covers eyes) and quickly looking down I spot those darling crochet slippers... they almost make me want to have a go with a crochet hook!

Both the grown up and tiny slippers are magic! I'm such a sucker for cosy slippers so I'm rather envious.

Glad you're feeling better - sounds as though you had a nasty run of lurgies all at once.

You have been poorly! I'm sure that apple cake would cure most diseases!!

Those slippers are just adorable. Glad to hear that you are healing too. I can sympathise with the cold sore, I just got one yesterday. Stress always makes one appear and they are so annoying too.

The apple cake looks so good! I printed out the recipe and hope to make it. The slippers are great and the baby slippers are so cute. I love that they are crochet and will tell my daughter about it. She teaches her students to crochet and this would be a good pattern for them.
