OK, so I was a little bit over worked yesterday, I think I was panicking a bit...here are the boxes ready to be made up and filled with all our stuff. I ordered loads, and some bubble wrap and tissue paper (just because I don't want to have to wash the newsprint off everything if I used old newspapers.)
I have had another wonderful surprise in the post.
Look at this delightful and detailed stitching, the bee is my favourite!
but really, it goes all the way around this Bagsket
I love the ribbon in the drawstring closure, it looks so pretty...the colours of the 'Bagsket' are perfect for me. My pal Kymberley did so well, she is a star! Thank you so much for taking the time to make me this very special bag as part of the 'Bag/Bucket Swap' I'd show you the one I made for my pal but she hasn't got it yet
I am making progress on Barry's Shur'tagal Socks, I have turned both heels now and the detail on them is beautiful. A very well written and designed pattern.....so far!

it almost looks like some kind of art yarn, a bit twisty, but on closer inspection I think it's a dust bunny, from under something!
Wow and Yowza! The bagsket is GORgeous! Beautiful colours and the embroidery is SO Pretty! Lucky you!
I would've said 'something the cat drug in' or 'something the dog got hold of'...
it IS fibrey and appears to have a bit of structure to it...
Did you find it in your washer after felting something? Or was it in a bag after having been felted?
Good luck with your packing :^)
Fabulous basket!!
Some kind of yarnball vomitted by a cat or dog?
Is it tumble dryer fluff, spun on your new baby?
I was going to guess that it was spun on your new spinning wheel - navel fluff LOL ??
Looks like a little knitting project you tried to felt and the machine tried to eat it.
Well i'm off to the surgery center. Think of me.

Love the bag.
The mystery object looks like my mum's old iron cord (why yes, it was very, very old), so I'm going to guess that. Part of an iron cord, not that it's my mum's one, because why would you have part of the cord of an iron my mum disposed of about 20 years ago?
Marianne!!! Guess what arrived yesterday? My gorgeous bag and socks! I can't begin to express how much I love them and how beautiful they are - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Hopefully I'll be able to blog about them after the weekend - I'm headed to my parents house to see if my dad can fix my home computer. I love them (and the cat was thrilled with the tissue paper, so you made everyone happy!)

Ah,packing. My favourite pastime. Fab looking socks, the very idea of doing two at a time is terrifying to me, I think I'd end up knitting one into the other and have to spend the rest of my life hopping around with my ankles tied together.
As for the mystery fluff, you've obviously got tired of spinning and decided to give your spinning wheel dreadlocks instead.
I was going to say it's something picked off a felted project, but then I read Marianne's comment and I thought of something the cat barfed up (as opposed to something it dragged in).
The bagsket is wonderful! I do not sew at all, but ny neice does and I just gave her my sewing machine. Maybe I could send her that tutorial link and have her make me one :)
Oooh, that bagsket is beautiful you lucky girl! Ummm, how 'bout one of those ropey dog pull toys? Do you have a dog? I'm thinking not. Maybe something that fell off of a matress??? Actually, I'm liking that electrical cord answer!
Looks a little like something that gets wrapped around the beater bar on the hoover (vacuum cleaner) and stops it working. Or is that just in my house?
What a beautiful bagsket! Hope the packing is going well!
I have NO idea what that is! But I do love the bagsket!
It looks like some chewed up yarn your cat puked up??? Not sure if you even have a cat, but that's my guess ;-)
Hope all goes well with the move.
And I love that bagsket, so pretty!
Girl, that looks altogether too familiar! That is washer/dryer snarl--the mess that occurs when you machine wash and dry something with unfinished edges (like new cuts of fabric you just bought, or something old and unraveling like torn jeans or rags. It spins around and around together until it is one major obnoxious mess that needs to be cut off the dried items!
What a beautiful bag-basket. And, like you I am in love with the bee. As for the felted thing...it looks like one of those rag bracelets that you can make from strips of fabric, tie them on and wear them until the material is pretty much felted.
p.s. good luck with packing. Ick!
I love Barry's socks. No clue what that thing is, but it does look a bit fibery :)
Good luck packing :)
Looks to me like half a purse or bag snap clasp thing that's somehow managed to get stuck in your washing machine where it's been covered in loads of wet linty stuff. Good luck with the sorting, packing & moving. Jenny
I'd say it's a dust bunny. :o) Your bucket bag is lovely, I like the bee too. :o)
You are so welcome for the Bagsket....I am glad that you like it.
I love really your bagsket !!!!! why I 'm not your secret Pal ???? thanks for your comment on my blog .... not a new baby it's for my little girl she is one year old and the dress is 18 months ... !!!!! colors are for Automn ( no more pink !!! ) ... do you understand my poor english ???? bye... see you soon with new french word ????
Love, love the bagsket. That sure is a nice pattern for a man and I like your choice of yarn.
I like all the other guesses but I'm thinking it may be a scarf that got rung and twisted in the laundry by mistake. It also looks like something Sissy barfs up! LOK
I think that it is something that got caught around the roller in your vaccuum cleaner and jammed it all up just when you needed to use it!!!
I love the bag.
hmmm-well,to me it looks like that perfectly horrible gray stuffing they put inside machine made pillows...
Ooo - I commented ages ago but doesn't look as though I've done it correctly...
At the risk of being redundant:
Mystery object - a "home-made" carry handle needed to lug all of that packing material around.
Bagsket is GORGEOUS!!
I'm forever pulling bits just like this out of my hoover, all tangled up. Then again it looks remarkably similar to something just seen lurking under eldest son's bed. Or maybe even the belt thingy off the side of a sewing machine (but you take so much care of yours I doubt it would get as bad as this!) Oh, no I've got it - it's the under-wire from a bra which got caught in the washer and all the fluff got stuck in it. Yes?
Phone me when you get settled - I need to come and see your new house!
