To say it was wet for the Yarn Forward photoshoot was rather an understatement! Still we muddled through trying not to get too upset with the scenario. Poor Kerrie was struggling with her sore ankle. I do hope it mends soon. However, I got some stunning shots including a dishy male model, and I can't wait to show you, but not just yet....
At last I have finished my neighbourhood Tunnel socks...for some reason these socks took me ages to complete. I made myself do it though and I am quite pleased with the results
Oh and Jo and Peri got it right, I have new spinning wheel, an Ashford Traditional that I bought from a lovely blog pal DaisyJane.

We chatted from the moment we met and had coffee and cake and chatted and chatted and in fact I had to stop Barry from telling the story of his friend being stopped at customs because of a suspicious substance found on his laptop......I do hope we meet up again soon!
And of course I had to have a little play didn't I? I used most of the sample bits of yarn that I got with my spindle recently purchased from Jenkins Woodworking with the help of Wanda....

I love this yarn, it has all different types of wool and some silk and camel in there too...I loved spinning the camel it is the browney coloured bit. I think I am going to have alove affair with this wheel, isn't she lovely?
Whilst most of you lot were at IKnit Day and saying hello to the Yarn Harlot I was busy, my sister and her husband came to stay on Saturday night, we took them to see our new house and they loved it and so did we! It is so gorgeous, Liz said I could put my spinning wheel in the conservatory, what a good idea!
Now back to work, packing and cleaning...eugh!! Less than two week to pack, I'd better get my skates on!!

Beautiful yarns, delicious socks and a lovely spinning wheel (in use!), what more could a Monday morning need? As i think you might live fairly close by I was wondering if you could help me. Last year I discovered a gorgeous little yarn shop somewhere in Suffolk in an old forge. I forgot to write down where it was but want to return to buy some wool. Do you happen to know it at all ?
Oooh, nice wheel (and spinning). I hope all the packing up goes smoothly.
The Yarn Forward team had a busy weekend this time.
Can't wait to see the wheel in its new home. Have not been keeping up daily as I did so I am very behind. enjoy reading about you and the family. What a day to do a phto shoot. Will be interesting to see what you shot when you can share.
Spinning wheel is great! I'm dying to see your new home!!
Look at that yarn you made, gorgeous! Sorry that the weather was so rubbish.
Cameron IS absolutely beautiful!
YAY!!! Congrats on your Ashford Tradi! (that's what I have :^)... I'm completely obsessed with the spinning.. hurry up and get your move taken care of then get to spinning!
Do you really think it's fair (or wise) to keep us waiting for the pics of the male model??? I suppose, you've done well by substituting pictures of those gorgeous socks. And I think that "ages" on your side of the ocean is a much shorter amount of time than "ages" on our side of the ocean 'cause those socks were finished 10 times faster than I finish mine. I can't wait to see your new home!!!
I LOVE your sock knitting, they are gorgeous! and the yarns, also beautiful! Your new spinning wheel looks great too, I might ask for one, one day, would love to have a go at spinning. Is it hard?

That wheel is gorgeous, but your yarn is even yummier. Spinning is truly addictive. (And I must send you a link to Rampton Spinners, they're lovely and friendly). Hope everyone dried out after the Yarn Forward shoot!
She really is a beauty! So is your work!
Haha I knew it - welcome to the dark side :-)
Gorgeous socks too!
Gorgeous - socks yarn wheel & Cameron!!
I am glad that YOUR new wheel is settled in happily. It was lovely to meet up and yes we did chat and chat - Mike said it was like seeing/hearing two of me if you see what I mean... must be the great minds think alike/talk alike thing! :)

Cameron really is a doll. I love his hair and those eyes... Oh MY.
YAY for the new spinning wheel! Is that your first wheel spun yarn? It's great!
I love what you spun, it's beautiful! I want to reach through the screen and grab it...
Lucky you get a spinning wheel. Have fun spinning :)
Your socks are lovely...very bright and cheerful. Love the color of Barry's socks. Not sure I'm ready to start knitting socks for my husband. Not sure he'd wear hand knit socks. Plain old white or black socks are pretty much all he wears :)
Good luck with your move....moving into a new hose must be so exciting!!!
I love the colour and texture of your yarn - just beautiful.
very beautiful little boy !!!! he seems like a girl !!! what wonderfull yarn !!!!!
