Socktopus September Package

I thought you might like to see the package I got from the Sock Club.  Isn't it all so scrummy.  I really look forward to getting these parcels every other month.  I love the box and all it's bits and bobs inside. These socks will be on my needles just as soon as we are a bit settled in our new home.

Right now, we are living amongst boxes.....and boxes........and boxes.....

I have to tell you that those comments on that odd bit of something in my previous post have had me in stitches! Naval fluff I ask you!! Anyway to be in with a chance of winning something, which will probably be hand made by me, go and leave a comment about what you think it might be....I will choose the winner/s when I am back online once we move.  Go on, leave a comment, they are a great diversion from this chaos!

I found a fantastic antique shop, well Barry took me to find a coffee shop on Saturday and next door to the coffee shop was this antique shop.  We have bought a lovely old Edwardian wardrobe for our bedroom.  Our new house needs this type of furniture, I can see I'll be spending a lot of time (and money) in this place! Still the wardrobe cost a lot less than a new one with a hard board insides.  It's lasted over 100 years already so I think it would outlast a modern one anyday! Oh hurry up moving day! I want to play in my new house!!

I have also knitted a Jumper for Leon, Barry's youngest daughter's little boy. He has started to call me Grandma which is so cute.  I will post photos of that when I actually get some of him wearing it!

Back to the packing, sorting, cleaning...you know the routine!

I hope your packing is going OK. I am so sick of packing and boxes. We move tomorrow, so today is being spent getting everything else boxed up.

Love that little box. I've never seen one like that. The yarn looks yummy.
Hang in there you will be all settled in and set up well before Boxing Day.

I don't remember, I'm sure you said it before, but what sock club is that? Is there a chance on getting in on it? It looks faublous, the yarn and the glimpse of the pattern as well.
I understand how anxious you must be, to get into your new house. It sounds lovely btw. Will there be photos of it some day?

Keep at it, moving day is coming up soon!
I'm glad Monika asked, as I was looking at the close up of the goodies I kept thinking 'what sock club is THIS?'... wow! I'm duly impressed!

Lots of good luck with your move. Antique furniture is so much better than the new stuff. I LOVE old things :) Enjoy :)

Ugh! I so hate moving. You writing about all the boxes makes me realize that I am never selling my house and moving again...I hope...Love the sock yarn. I have had a horrendous week and did not do a stitch of knitting. Sigh.

Good luck with all the moving stuff! I don't envy you - except for that Socktopus yarn, which looks so scrumptious!
