Sucky Thumb Mitts (now includes the mitt pattern)

We had visitors this weekend. Barry's daughter and her family came to stay. Tyler made a notice for the conservatory door. It was now known as the 'Bow and Arrow Room'
Denise did some spinning and she is a quick learner!
Uncle Steve came to play...
Imogen was delighted with her new book that Grandad bought for her. This is Daddy reading to her. Imogen treats books so beautifully. I guess she'll be an early reader!
This is the yarn that Denise spun, Tyler was a great help with the ball winder!
Imogen was a great help finding us a DVD to watch!
She wasn't so sure of her new poncho though...
I made Dens some Berry Hill Fingerless Mitts using some of my handspun yarn..then I had a brain wave and made some tiny ones for Imogen.
They look so cute and her Mum squealed with delight when she saw them.
and not to be left out was Tyler, I worked out it took me about 45 minutes to knit one of these mitts.
Denise was such a lovely help, she sorted out my messy work room for me, I now can just go and find things so easily. Thank you so much Dens, I'll happily sit and knit anytime you want to come and sort my mess out!

UPDATE:
Here the link to the Sucky Thumb Mitts pattern...not tested so if you have any problems let me know!

You. Are. Brilliant! What a great idea to make Mum and baby matching mitts -- they're adorable. I loved seeing your new curtain too -- I hope you'll show it to us when it's hung!

Delightful! I would love to make a pair of these mitts for my 15-month old grandson, but the link to the pdf doesn't seem to be working. Any chance you can fix it? Thanks!

Looks like it was a wonderful visit! Imogen is just adorable in her poncho and her sucky thumb mitts (love that name), and Tyler looks so pleased with his mitts. What beautiful grandchildren you have!

p.s. I'm going to have to make a certain little girl and her mommy some of those matchy, matchy mitts :)

Another set of great family pictures. The kids are just darling. I agree with the others that making Mom and daughter mitts was a great idea. I think Imogen was just worn out and will love her poncho later. She is adorable.
