Chocolate Box

This is Holywell, Nr St Ives Cambridgeshire.  After a lovely meal out last Sunday, Barry took me for a little drive around.  This pretty village is where my friend Heather lives.  Such a beautiful little Hamlet.
and of course the sunshine helps....oh it does a person so much good to get out in the sunshine.

We loved this fine old Rolls Royce, it almost was just sitting there showing off!

On Friday, I visited Heather for some chat and some spinning.  I was shown all the goodies she had bought whilst attending Skipnorth
I looked out of the window and saw this bird sitting on top of the sun umbrella.  I thought it was a fake bird until I noticed it moving.  Heather pointed out the messy nest that she always seems to build right there in the same spot!
I loved the aquarium, it is just a large glass globe and it looked so pretty, I couldn't resist photographing the goldfish.  They weren't so good at posing though and I'm not to good at waiting for them to get into position!
I had such a delicious lunch with Heather, she made some yummy carrot and coriander soup and homemade bread, such a good cook!
Hope you have had a lovely weekend?  Barry played in his end of term concert yesterday, he truly is amazing, you can see some photos of him playing in the album on the right hand side>>>

I have moved my shop to Etsy, and already I am reaping the benefits of doing so.  I will be sewing some little things with a knitterly theme, well I have the necessary equipment to sew them, I really just need the time!

Sumptuous pictures Marianne. What a pretty little village - I must pay it a visit, as I have a friend in Fenstanton.

That pigeon made me smile - it IS rather a scruffy-looking nest! The fish made me think of that lovely Matisse print. There's something simple and lovely about goldfish isn't there?

I've fallen in love with Holywell, too! Hope Heather's eprsuaded you to come to SkipNorth next year.

And I adore that scruffy nest (have just been blogging about scruffy nests).

Glad to hear that you've moved to Etsy and that the move seems to be paying off; I'd never heard of the site you were using before

When I saw your Hamlet photos I called my son. He said they look "like in the movies". We loved them! Don't matter where you go in Europe, it's always much prettier than around here.
Yeah for your etsy shop! I've finished the fiber I bought from you. Did a little experiment and I like how it turned out! :o)

Lovely pictures, I do like the round goldfish bowls. Etsy is great, I missed your colourful mohair though, someone beat me too it!! Never mind as I am such a slow spinner. :)
