A Weekend In Devon

Barry and I have not long got back from another lovely weekend in Devon. We drove down on Friday morning, we did intend driving down on Thursday evening but circumstances left us completely worn out so I suggested we leave early Friday morning. We intended to leave about 8am but we actually left at 10.40am....hmmm...we don't do mornings!

It's very busy in the W's house, but Saturday mornings are a little bit crazy, Maddie goes swimming and then a bit later Millie goes to her Ballet/Tap/Modern dance lessons. Whilst Millie was dancing, we went for a walk, well the men and Maddie went for a walk, Ali and I knitted and had a natter in the car. Gorgeous sunshine and quite warm but Ali was feeling a bit fragile so I kept her company in the car. It's a great feeling being near the sea....We got some synthetic cream horns to snack on, I really wanted a sympathetic cream donut (my friend's mum calls them this) but they only had cream horns, not quite the same but rather yummy!
In the afternoon we all went to Madeleine's first Spring Fayre at her pre-school. It was lovely and very simple, aimed at the children with some gorgeous homemade cakes to have with a cup of tea to finish with. Maddie was very proud to go to this event with us all there. A moment to cherish. On the way back we walked through a pretty garden and I took a few flower shots but I love the one of Ali taking a photo of the girls the best. I love the casual stance of Jez and Barry too...the composition pleases my eye! I only took my tiny compact camera with me but it served it's purpose. It takes quite good close up shots too.
Hope you've all had a good weekend :^)

We don't do mornings either - best intentions and all that! Where did you go? Anywhere near me?
Love your pics... But then, you are a professional (so I have no need to feel inadequate!!!).
