What a Lovely Week

May I introduce to you my friend Andrea. She went home today after spending 5 days with us and now the house is very quiet. Andrea is a bit of a chatterbox and got particularly chatty when Barry took us to Cromer for the day on Wednesday. It's something to do with the sea air I think. This is a photo of Andrea (and Barry) on the pier. We had gorgeous sunshine and lots of fun. The fish and chips were amazing. Us girls had battered skate wings and chips and it was just so delicious. It made up fro the revolting coffee we had beforehand.

On the drive home we stopped and picked some elderflowers and I made some elderflower cordial. Andrea has taken a bottle home for herself and a smaller bottle for her friend Carolyn who is having a tough time at the moment.

I made Andrea a sherbet bag using the same material as the one I made for myself, we do like the same things most of the time. Anyway, I'm missing her company already and can't wait for the next visit....

I am now in a quandary, I want to make something but don't know what....hmmm......I daresay I'll think of something!

M-US.... I'll leave the skate wings to your imagination .... the Elderberry cordial goes even better with some Gin (and I don't normally like that), sunshine, ice and fizzy water!

It was a lovely week...

I am so glad you had a good time! Your day trip sounds like such fun.

I have never tried elderberry cordial...I shall have to look for it and see if I can get it here.

I have been thinking of what kind of embroidery I might send you. You like the lace? I actually have a stash of things I have been collecting for you...but until I figure what to make for your purses, it can't be sent! Let's email!

XOXO

glad you had a lovely week, and am drooling at the thought of the skate. I'm planning on taking myself off to Cromer soon.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who gets the urge to make things but just isn't sure what!
