I really don't want another day like tomorrow.....

What Barry was trying to say was 'I really don't want another day like today'.....I had been feeling a bit poorly again and we hadn't communicated much all day, Sunday it was....sort of the aftermath of the excitement of doing such a lovely wedding the day before. The preparation and worry of it all took it's toll on me and also on Barry for that matter. Still his words broke the silence, only Barry (or me for that matter) could say something so not meant to be amusing but turned out to be just that...amusing...so we were happy again! Actually, we're never miserable for long, something usually tickles us and we'll be laughing again.

The bride and groom are coming round to see us in the morning, they were insistent on popping in to us,we are intrigued as to why they feel they want to actually see us again.....they are a lovely couple and H is such a little poser, he loves to be photographed as you can see!
He wanted to be involved in most of the group shots.... then Barry had a good idea!

*~*~*

As you can see the spiderman blanket is finished. It's been washed and line dried so it's as soft as a spiderman blanket could be. I am really looking forward to giving this to Tyler...not sure when that will be though. I really love how this has turned out, I just wish I could have found the right colours in some aran weight yarn as the double knitting yarn took a bit of a while to get to size. I used every bit of the blue yarn and almost every bit of the red too, I like it when that happens.
(Barry took this close up of the stitches)
I also love the way the treble crochet (or double depending on where you hail from) sort of herringbones and changes shade...definitely a blanket for a little boy! I also think it would make a lovely baby blanket in softer pastel colours.
Barry is off this week, today we went for a drive, looked at a couple of houses, from the road not to go in as we're not really in a position to put in any offers but we did see a really pretty older property out in the country....

Lovely smells are coming out of the kitchen, Barry is cooking a creamy lamb curry for tea...yum! Some of that Chewy Almond Apple Cake would be a nice desert too. (not sure there's much left though..) I think I'm a bit hungry!!

I am so glad you two found each other...makes me sigh.

I think that little boy in the wedding photos is just adorable. What a character!

And the blanket is fantastic!!! What a great gift for a very lucky boy! You do such wonderfully creative things, M. And they always look so neat and polished. Love it.

What? And you can crochet aswell? Is there no end to your talents? If you're house-hunting, fancy coming to live near me? Like next door? I could do with a fellow yarn freak nearby so David realises I'm actually quite normal! And perhaps Barry could teach him that men can go in the kitchen, for something else other than a beer from the fridge!

Just caught up with my favourite blogs after a week away, haven't you done some nice things?! Love the blanket. And how nice to meet up with a fellow blogger, we all seem to have so much in common but mostly never meet in person.
I'm watching your photography with interest as my 15 year old daughter is keen to persue a career in that direction so we're upgrading our camera sometime... Santa might be very generous this year ;) Please keep sharing your work with us.
