My Comfy Knitting Nook!

Every year my Christmas tree looks the same, red, green, gold.....I want it to look different!!
Barry bought me some fun ornaments in primary colours and I bought some more on Saturday. I have a very funky Rudolf but the photo is pants...I'll take more later and add to this post.

My fairy at the top of the tree is rather sexy being bright red but I love her...you should see her when her skirt lights up when the light I put inside her glows...wahay!!
This is my cosy comfy nook...You can see I am well on the way with my second Tulip cardigan, the yarn is so sproingy and delicious to knit with...a lovely knit. I have increased the largest size which is for age six, to age eight just by adding 4 stitches to the yoke. I also am knitting 12 rows of each colour instead of 10. Oh and I couldn't resist knitting this swatch....I think this will be my knit for over Christmas. It is 100% cashmere from Colourmart.

Have you ever knitted with Cashmere? Oh my, it is so soft, no softer than that!! I am going to make the Tangled Yoke cardigan. The swatch matches the tension. The yarn is heavily oiled and I did what they said and soaked the swatch in hot water with some washing up liquid added, then I used hair conditioner in the final rinse. Scary but it works...I am a bit scared to knit this and then dunk it in with the washing up!! Oooh, it is delicious!

Oh and how could I forget....I have won a couple of prizes lately! Lovely Lynn from Colorjoy pulled my name out of a hat simply because I left a comment. You can see my prize in this post! Way back I entered a little competion to name a clothes stand...really....Christane used my choice as part of the name and emailed me last week to tell me I'd won....a lovely surprise!

I've been looking at my living room recently with a view to creating a nook for me, I have lots of stuff I want to be surrounded by. As always you've tempted me to get the knitting needles out again...but first, MUST finish my crochet blanket.

Oh Marianne! That sweater is gorgeous. Beyond gorgeous. Can't wait to see your version. I'm afraid to even look at cashmere, given it's price. But I'll bet it's a dream to work with!

Wonderful tree! I love the fairy, too. And that cashmere sweater will be so wonderful to do and then to wear!

I love your tree and I'm so jealous of your cozy spot - a girl could love a spot like that to sit and knit in.
