"Q: Do you subscribe to any magazines (knitting or otherwise)? Or do you prefer to purchase magazines at the newstand? Do you subscribe online to any knitting magazines/newsletters? What does a knitting magazine need to have to catch your fancy and get you to fork out that well-earned cash?"
I subscribe to Simply Knitting and Woman and Home, both of which I thoroughly enjoy reading. I also buy other knitting magazines if the cover tells me there is an interesting pattern inside. I hate the fact that these magazines are usually always sealed up in a plastic bag!! I really enjoy Knitting magazine though, I might subscribe to it eventually.
I subscribe to Knitting Daily and get plenty of other newsletters delivered by email...Pick up Sticks, Knitbits, Knitter's Review, The Woolie Ewe, Loops, Purlsoho, Lion Brand, Laughing Hens... I'm a sucker when it comes to filling in that 'subscribe by email' slot, autofill makes it too easy!

I'm with you on the hatred of the magazine plastic bagging. I'm only a beginner and I need to have a look to see if any patterns are within my grasp before I shell out my pennies.
I subscribe to Interweave knits and might go for Selvedge but I try not to buy any other mags! I do like them plopping through the letter box though.
I sub to Interweave Knits, National Geographic and American Bungalow.... I may be adding to that, as in Interweave's Spinning mag :^)
I do have a slight bone of contention with IK, I had a very hard time finding the holiday issue, ran across it quite by accident (just last week!) but I think if you have a subscription... they could send you that issue also, eh?
