Snow

We've got snow! After a day of horrid heavy rain and violent wind, we have the most beautiful snow here in Enniskillen. Barry took Mum out early this morning and left me sleeping on, I have done nothing but sleep since I got here. Still I feel so much better for it. They came back a couple of hours later to pick me up and we went and had a most disappointing lunch in the Belleek Potteries, my pasty was not at all flaky and juicy, the pastry was tough and the filling was all mushed up, Barry's sausage roll was the same but his sandwich was OK. Mum's soup was out of a packet and the soda bread was all dried up...I think Mum is going to write them a letter! I've not felt much like photography since we arrived here but the snowy branch leaning in the little stream caught my eye...
Barry took this shot of the darling little lambs as we went on a scenic drive into the Fermanagh countryside. We did go for a scary drive up to Derrygonnelly, we were the only vehicle to venture up the snowy road and the scenery was breathtaking however, even in our 4x4 we were a bit worried about driving back down so we didn't quite make it to the top and the magnificent viewpoint. You can see some more photos and words on Barry's blog

Tomorrow is our last full day...not sure what we're doing yet but I'm sure something lovely will happen. We have been thoroughly spoiled and eaten far too much, well it's so hard not too, everything is delicious, too many good cooks in our family, that's for sure!

We got Mum's outfit on Saturday, the first shop we went into! Mind you we did look the day before so it wasn't really the first shop we went into.. Mum is so excited about this outfit, she looks so pretty in it too. Another job done, tick!

I have almost finished the second little fluffy bolero and might have enough of the angora yarn left for a tiny one for Imogen.

We had a bit of snow this morning but it didn't last long and it didn't stick... sigh...

Your long weekend trip sounds wonderful. We had lots of rain and stormy wheather. No snow yet!
