Baby Bridesmaid and a Pageboy....

We had a lovely day yesterday. Barry, Maisie and I visited Barry's daughter and her family. Quite a drive away but well worth the effort, and I got a bit of knitting done on the way up. Just look at this handsome boy adjusting his bow-tie.....it didn't take more than about 20 shots to get what I was looking for, and Tyler never got bored once...honest ;^)
Here he is helping Imogen to stay upright, well at least that's what I think he's doing........

I made Imogen a tiny bridesmaid dress out of the silk and tulle that was left over. That sounds bad doesn't it? I did have to purchase a bit more for the full skirt, but as I was ordering more silk for the men's ties and cummerbunds it was no bother. The tiny bolero matches and fits perfectly!
'Enough Bruv, I can manage on my own now you know!'

What a delight it was to make a tiny dress, so dinky and quick after all the other dresses I have made.

Don't they look so cute together? Good job Imogen isn't walking or crawling just yet, think she may get into a tangle with her long skirt otherwise. I suppose 11 days could make all the difference though, she was trying to get going when we were there yesterday.

I love her cheeky smile....
and the way her Granddad loves her and Imogen's fascination for his beard.....I quite like it too, so I know how she feels :^)-
This last shot was an idea to show off the vintage buttons Imogen has on the back of her dress, only the best for my girls! Dan the Daddy tried on his dickie bow and cummerbund and he looked very smart in it, I think he was quietly pleased with how it looked. So exciting....! All these James Bonds' at the wedding, enough to drive a woman crazy! Let's hear it for the men all dressed up in their finery and looking smart, us girls love that you know.....

Dens cooked us a very tasty chicken fricassee, yum! Barry and Tyler went upstairs to play on the playstion. Tyler said, come on Granddad, let's go and get some peace upstairs....I think he got it wrong again cause it was mighty quiet downstairs once they had dissappeared! Love the way children interpret things..

By the time you read this all will be said and done. I pray that you and Barry had a glorious day in every way, and that you were granted that extra potion of energy to see you brilliantly through.

Well done on all the sewing, and those exquisite pictures! Heart-stopping precious.
