It's rather busy here at w*****g HQ! The house is becoming rather erm....in need of some attention.
However, progress has been made, all the cummerbunds have been sewn, apart from some hand stitching and the buckles. The paler pink cummerbunds and bow ties are for two little boys, they are cousins, Barry's grandsons, and one of them is going to be our pageboy. The darker pink cummerbunds do look as if they are made out of two different colours, I think it is the light, they are all one colour in reality. The bow ties have all been sewn, they just need clipping, trimming and turning and the then the fasteners stitched on.
I have also been making some socks using Cat Bordhi's 'New Pathways for Sock Knitters'. (seems to be sold out in the UK) A lovely book, full of interesting patterns to test the sock knitter. Cat advises us to make these two little pairs of socks first, to familiarise us with the new techniques which are ingenious.
I love the way the shaping spirals in both directions in these socks and I am quite eager to make the dragon socks in the book where a dragon's tail winds round the foot and leg...
I love the colours in this slightly fuzzy pure wool single ply yarn, not really suitable for socks but it needed using up. I think these socks would felt really easily and I may use some more of the yarn to make one of those sheep bags
Well it's back to work for me, not much more to do now, just a few large cheques to write out!
Oh and my dress is completely finished!

You have been busy! The bow ties look wonderful. Good luck with the last straws before The Big Day!
WOW, that is a lot of sewing. Have you had a chance to sleep? The socks are darling. Have a great day today
I adore those socks! I think I'll be devouring that book when we come up...if there is time!
I can sew the fasteners and buckles on when we are with you if you like :)
It's quite busy over at Wedding Cake HQ as well!
You absolutely astound me with all your abilities, you are one Very Busy Woman!
Love those spiral socks, with a passion, the little fuzzy ones are adorable!
Yay for the dress! Boo for the checks.
Busy bee madness! I hope it all goes together smoothly and you have time to relax?!
Have I told you how amazed I am that you are doing so much for the wedding?!
Holy Cow -- I can't believe all the sewing you're doing for the wedding! You're going to be bleary-eyed when the day arrives LOL! Those little socks look amazing -- I'm going to have to check that new-to-me book out! (Oh---- and oooohhhh, guess what hubby ordered for me the other day...I'm all beside myself LOL!)
I wondered where those wee socks came from when I saw them over at Flickr. :) I hope you're remembering to breathe, relax and enjoy the lead up...
Very cute socks :)
I have that book also (maybe I got the last one from KCG?!) - but hadn't knitted the socks yet. You've inspired me - they look gorgeous.
Where do you find the time to fit it all in???
You are simply amazing! Do you need sleep or have you stashed some magic potion that totally energies you. I'm stunned with all the lovely creations you're whipping out.
I have to ask - when's the big day? It sure looks like it's a lot of work. The socks are adorable. I didn't like the look of them in the book, but yours changed my mind! I did one adult pair of socks from this book so far. I love them all. It's genius. I wonder when Book II will be out. Must go knit something now. :o) Oh, and I sure hope we'll see you in your dress, I'd love to see it. I'm always wondering why a bride chooses that exact dress for her, there are so many out there.
Oh! I would love to see a photo of the dragon tail pattern. Do you possibly have it to post? These little socks are so great! Best, Marianne in California
