Rainbow Warrior Socks!

I unpicked them and found this pattern from the Inside Loop, which uses some dyed handspun yarn at a looser tension and it works so much better. The stitches are crisp, rustic, and springy. I am hoping that a bathe in Eucolan will soften these up so I will love them more than I do right now. Can you hear it in my words that I am not overly impressed with the tactile qualities of this yarn? I love the pattern and I adore the beautiful colours. We shall see. I'll keep you posted.

Ooops, nearly forgot to tell you that the yarn is Noro Kureyon Sock!

I took the photo on my new super dooper phone. It even uploaded the shot to Flickr, how I do not know and if it costs me over the top of the contract I'll not be doing that again! I got so confused yesterday when the patient but talks-very-fast sales person was telling me, who is a bit-hard-of-hearing-since-her-ear-infections, of it's features and my new contract details. I think he would like to have this phone! lol... I know Barry would. It even has Sat Nav on it! We needed a new phone for our new and updated Photography business, we did I tell you!!

Nice sock - I've used the Noro sock yarn so I know what you mean. Mine calmed down into a sort of felted texture which meant that the sock fabric was a lot nicer than the yarn going into it.

If only the colours weren't so gorgeous!

I have just been catching up with your blog, I so envy your photographic skills, I have trouble using the basic settings on my digital camera, and my phone would be fine but can't work out how to load it up to the computer.lol. Socks look lovely especially the colours.

Not sure why the photo isn't working for me, but I have some noro sock to knit up but I find it a bit odd, its funny to go over to ravelry and seeing all these other people knitting it up ok!

I hate the feel of Noro and I always get bits of grass and knots, but the color ... OH THE COLOR. That sock is making me drool!!! I love the pattern you picked - it shows off the yarn so well.

Ooooh Marianne -- I LOVE those colors. Although I can certainly relate to making socks with less-than-comfy tactile qualities as the green/brown/ugly socks I just did were the same way. Don't want to use THAT yarn again!

That's some photo by phone!!! Hope it won't cost you too much, but you know how all those extra bells & whistles are--I think that's how those companies make all their $$!!!

P.S. sorry about the tag thing, it's posted now at my blog :)

I really fancied getting myself some of that sock yarn - Knitty's Ziggy socks have my name all over them - but now I'm not so sure. Is it really that bad? Bother. Anything else similar out there? Stupid question.

I'm using the same yarn right now! I know what you mean about it; it's not at all soft when knitting it, and I've had some breakage and bits of crud in it. It looks beautiful, though, and comes out way softer after a few spins in the washer.
