I received the most amazing swap package from a secret pal yesterday. Of course she is no longer a secret. Her name is Susan and she is also know as CouthyQuine on Ravelry. We had shared a few secret emails and I knew I was going to get a special package. In fact, there is more to come because Susan is dying me some lace weight yarn. I look forward to that.
Look....
Inside the box....
So many treats inside....I love opening these parcels!
Susan hand stitched this oh-so-cute bag! Hand stitched?!? Amazing tiny stitches, all done for me, I am so delighted. I had this to make in my ravelry queue, but I have since lost it somehow and can't remember what the pattern is called. It is just adorable and I will use it with such pride.
Look at that skein of super soft and squidgy Alpaca/Silk sock yarn from my favourite shop The Natural Dye Studio. I had to describe myself as a skein of yarn and guess which skein of yarn I decribed myself as?!
The socks for those little tiny sock blocker keyrings were knitted for me and Barry by Susan, she is such a darling. I gave her a bit of a headache with the photo I chose. Cleverly Susan interpreted it as togetherness!
I adore the little tiny purple (they don't do pink!)needle size measure, I will find something to attach it to.
Susan, you are so kind and thoughtful, I love everything in the parcel, including the handmade boxes ~ THANK YOU!
I feel like I am in fast forward fizzy mode today. In fact I have felt like that all week. I have photo work to deal with, a house to pack up, ironing coming out of my ears and a Photo Shoot for Yarn Forward Magazine to do tomorrow. Actually, I love doing the photo shoots, not so much if it is raining though....send me sunny thoughts please? If you can't do sunny could you at least send me no rain please?
Maisie went back to her Dad yesterday, there is always loads of washing and ironing to do for her return, even more because of just getting back from France. We went to see Mamma Mia again yesterday. Just Maisie and I...We bought the soundtrack CD at Dover and we all sang our way around France. In the nearly empty cinema, we sang our hearts out, magic, just magic.....
Barry and I went and picked up a little treasure yesterday, can anyone guess what it might be?

A little treasure? a wheel perhaps? keys to your new home?
Boy, what a great swap package! I LOVE those adorable little sock keyrings!!! We picked up the ABBA Gold CD and we listen (er, sing) to it back and forth to work -- such fun! Takes us back to our youth LOL!
Hmmm, a little treasure? Something for the house? Maybe a new dog or cat??? Oohh, oooh, a new camera??? (No wait, that wouldn't be a "little" treasure!)
Wow, what a treat!
Would the "little treasure" be fresh flowers? Or is it food related...or a new pet?
Maybe a wheel - like Jo said? Not that I'm obessed or anything I just think every home should have a least one spinning wheel.
What a wonderful package!
A little treasure... a photo-related something or a knitting related something, a sheep...?
What a great package!
A little treasure - I can't wait to see what it was.
Wow!!! What a great package of goodies!
Lucky lady - what a full parcel. Looking back at your last few posts you've been making, travelling and spotting celebrities - exciting stuff! I'm only just cottoning on to the Hairy Bikers - they're dishy in a way, but then I always have a thing for funny men!
What a great package. I hope you didn't get too wet for the shoot, its so gloomy for photography isn't it?
