Alpaca, Cashmere, Textured Weaving

I am really enjoying weaving and have just finished this delicious textured scarf. I didn't realise it was possible to create textures using aheddle loom until a friend on Ravelry pointed me in the direction of this pattern, PDF Link. It took quite a lot of concentration to do and looking closely at the scarf I can see some errors. This one is for me though, deliciously soft after a short tumble dry to fluff it up. Alpaca warp and Cashmere weft, can you just imagine how soft this is?

Hope you are all being creative out there...

Oh, I bet it is as soft as a warm summer breeze kissing your back as you sip Pimms in your beautifully scented garden...

It's raining here. Again.

very pretty. How long did it take to do this and how much yarn did you use?

See I'm still pondering...

I think it looks great. I've been so tempted to get a small loom, but I am resisting. You are making it tough.

Breathless sigh. That is just soooo very beautiful. You are one of those disgustingly super-talented people who happens to be a very nice person too.

You lot are in a specialised minority.... it's a privilege to be witnessing this!

WOW! That is absolutely gorgeous! I can only imagine how wonderful that must feel next to the skin...ooh!

And as if I weren't already awash in crafts, you're getting me all itchy to weave. And sew. And spin more often...I think your blog might be evil. But it is a wondrous evil!

Look at you go! No staying with simple, plain weave scarves for you. :-) This is gorgerous.
