Dashing for Laurie and some Slouch Socks for Someone Special

It was my son's birthday last week, I managed to get these to him just before the postal strike hit the UK! I loved making them and used two strands of some superwash 4ply lambswool I bought in Italy, nothing but the best for my boy! Two strands of 4ply is a good way of getting a worsted/aran weight yarn too! you can find the free pattern here
These Slouch Socks were knitted in Artesano Alpaca
I beautiful yarn and a lovely pattern...which was free from www.getknitted.com if you buy 2 balls of the yarn.
as soon as this postal strike is over they will be winging their way to someone very special in America...
I hope they fit!

Barry and I spent a lovely but busy weekend with Faerynuff and her delicious family. Those little girls are so gorgeous. Ali looks stunning right now, just 6 weeks to DDay, seems impossible! I wonder what she's got in there? Ali is hankering after another girl but a boy would be just as loved...this is so exciting! I am in the process of knitting two little pairs of black socks for the girls, beaded black socks, this pattern in fact! Boy do I have to concentrate on the charts! I have to admit, they do look really good. I am using Rowan Cashsoft 4ply, the girls don't do 'itchy'!!

My shoulder is sore today...going to see the consultant tomorrow, I hope he says I can drive again but I'm not so sure he will :^(
