Gggggrrrrrrrrr!

Tuesday morning:

Well I thought it was sinusitis so I went to see my doctor...she gave me my usual anti biotics and signed me back to work OK.....
by lunchtime I simply could not stop sneezing and I had that horrid pain that goes from your nose to your eye and then it makes your eyes water?? Oh boy, this has been happening all the time since Tuesday lunchtime.....it is driving me crazy! I have so much to do before my Mum gets here and no energy to do anything other than....erm.....knit!

These are the Queen of Diamonds Gloves from Knit Picks

I loved knitting the cobweb lace edging...
and the chevron lace, but the rest of the pattern was rather hit and miss...I think it's because I can't concentrate because of this horrid nose/eye pain I have right now. I have casted on the second one though, just so I make another but the instructions seem all over the place!
I have finished one of the Kyla mitts
I love them!!
but....
I broke one of my darling little rosewood needles from Soctopus so I couldn't make the other mitten...well I could, I struggled to finish this one with only four needles. Alice from Soctopus is sending me a spare 'ebony' sock stix so I can carry on knitting until her supply of Rosewood Lantern Moon Sock Stix are back on stock when she will send me a new one. Apparently they are guaranteed. Amazing isn't it. I usually use the magic loop for knitting in the round but thought I would try out knitting with these pretty little needles and felt an awful sinking feeling in my tummy when one of them just seemed to give way in my hand.
A few of you asked me what the yarn is that I used for the Kyla mitts, it is Alpaca/Silk sock yarn from The Natural Dye Studio and I reckon I'll get two pairs from 100 grammes so although it seems an extravagant buy, it's a bargain really!
So there, we are....I'm all snotty and grotty and the sun is shining....ironing to do, beds to make etc.....wish me luck!

Oh sinusitis again? I had three anti-biotic cures and still struggled with virus and bugs things. I’m now using Pro-Biotics to help the intestinal flora to heal. This was a tip of a Doctor in Natural Healing.
I hope the knitting will help, you make some wonderful things. 5 needles? I’ve never done that...!

Gosh, all these bloggers that don't feel well! You people need to stop breathing on each other, LOL! Very impressive mitts, considering you're under the weather -- Hope you're feeling much better SOON!

My lurgie is just creeping in, my sinus trouble usually starts on the tail end of things so i sympathise with you wholeheartedly, I don't feel like I can concentrate on anything right now!

I hope there's no chance that you're allergic to one of the yarns you've been knitting with! Hopefully the antibiotics will clear up whatever is going on.
The gloves are stunning!

Just caught up on your blog and it sounds like your needles have really been flying. Love those fingerless gloves.
