On the day of our wedding, I arranged for these chocolates to be sent to Barry as he was getting ready. I told him the postman would be bringing him something and he was to open it. He didn't hear the doorbell but Laurie thought he might have, so Barry looked out of the window and saw the post van starting to leave, so he ran after it and managed to stop it in time. All morning he kept trying to phone me on my mobile (I was getting ready at the hotel), but Ali intercepted any calls from Barry and she took the call about the chocolates. I heard her say 'No you can't talk to her' and 'Well open it then' and 'what does it say?' and then 'aww...' I managed to get Barry in tears a few times that morning!
Mosaic socks finished, thank to Diane. I made the entrelac a bit deeper and ran out of the blue yarn for the second toe. Diane kindly sent me enough to finish these gorgeous socks. I hadn't managed to do a neat short row heel and toe before. I love this pattern...clever Diane. These are the third socks in the Socktopus Sock Club. Such a lovely sock club to belong to.
I have designed a dishcloth pattern. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I have used the same yarn as for the 5 Hour Baby Sweater. The pattern is written for bulky or worsted weight cotton yarn. Also, I have changed the cable to every sixth row instead every fourth row in this photo. It's up to you how often you repeat the cables.I have cast on for the worsted weight dishcloth in some crisp cotton I bought ages ago.
I might use this one as a flannel as it looks so beautiful...
