See You At Two! EEK!!

On the day of our wedding, I arranged for these chocolates to be sent to Barry as he was getting ready. I told him the postman would be bringing him something and he was to open it. He didn't hear the doorbell but Laurie thought he might have, so Barry looked out of the window and saw the post van starting to leave, so he ran after it and managed to stop it in time. All morning he kept trying to phone me on my mobile (I was getting ready at the hotel), but Ali intercepted any calls from Barry and she took the call about the chocolates. I heard her say 'No you can't talk to her' and 'Well open it then' and 'what does it say?' and then 'aww...' I managed to get Barry in tears a few times that morning!
Mosaic socks finished, thank to Diane. I made the entrelac a bit deeper and ran out of the blue yarn for the second toe. Diane kindly sent me enough to finish these gorgeous socks. I hadn't managed to do a neat short row heel and toe before. I love this pattern...clever Diane. These are the third socks in the Socktopus Sock Club. Such a lovely sock club to belong to.
I have designed a dishcloth pattern. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that I have used the same yarn as for the 5 Hour Baby Sweater. The pattern is written for bulky or worsted weight cotton yarn. Also, I have changed the cable to every sixth row instead every fourth row in this photo. It's up to you how often you repeat the cables.
I have cast on for the worsted weight dishcloth in some crisp cotton I bought ages ago.
I might use this one as a flannel as it looks so beautiful...

Romantic choccies, brilliant idea. And I love, love the entrelac socks. I can see that I'm going to have to investigate this sock club...

Ha ha! There are a couple of extra 'funnies' that went with that chocolate story.

When I chased after the van I ran like a man possessed, Laurie said he didn't think it was possible I could run that fast. Wolf whistling, shouting and running like the wind is not something I had expected to do on my Wedding Day!

When I did catch up with him (it) all the driver said was, "Are you alright mate?" Well, as ok as any man could sprinting without a warmup! A disjointed conversation took place - I was still trying to get the breath I deposited to the atmosphere 30 seconds before!

"Did you call at number 17?" "Yep." "Do you have a parcel for me - don't want it to go back to the depot". "No, I thought that. I left by the plant-pot on the doorstep"!

I'm bidding for a place on the 4 x 100m relay team in the 2012 Olympics!

Yes, this lovely lady did reduce me to tears a few times that day!

What a wonderful thing we both share! Sigh....... :^)

Barry, how funny... hee, if you'd only looked down first but then we wouldn't have this funny little story, eh?

Beautiful little washcloth, Marianne, and thank you for the pattern!

That's great you were able to find the yarn to finish those socks...it would have been a shame if you couldn't with all that work!

Beautiful dishcloth...thanks for sharing the pattern :)

You are one of the most creative and industrious women out there! You'd best take care that you don't ever have to run after your fleet-footed man.

It's wonderful that you two are so unselfconsciously romantic. It fair warms my heart.

Did I remember right that Barry is an Island man? If so, you know that probably means were related now!
